 The Step is set to release their brand new single ‘Let It Go Friends’ on 9th October 2015.

 Citing 90’s Brit Pop as their main influence - The Step is an indie-pop band making waves on London’s gig circuit, even appearing for Noel Gallagher at his official after-show party earlier this year.

 The Step make big introspective and atmospheric guitar-driven pop songs and their new single ‘Let It Go Friends’ is a perfect example of what they do best.  ‘Let It Go Friends’ is about experiencing the pain and sadness of losing love and learning to rebuild your trust and faith in finding true love again.

 The Step have also recently started a media partnership with a movement to raise awareness on mental health projects called www.projectsemicolon.com.  Having watched many friends struggle with mental health issues, the band wanted to get involved with the project after it provided a much needed life-line to a close friend.

“‘Let It Go Friends’ is all about finding hope and love again which is exactly what The Semicolon Project are also trying to achieve by raising awareness on mental health issues. We found their website by chance and read stories of people had found comfort and relief in knowing that they weren’t alone.”
