Back in 2011, the 'Boom Boom Pow' star explained that the band's 'Beginning' tour would mark an end to their run, but explained that it wasn't a definitive break and he has now revealed that there will come a day when the Black Eyed Peas pick up where they left off.

Speaking to Access Hollywood earlier this week, Will.i.Am said they plan to emerge from their "slumber party" at some point:

"[We're] taking this little Black Eyed Peas hiatus, and [I'm] maximising while I have the time to go and do things."

"It's a deserved break - [or] pause, because a lot of times people can say, 'What break?' and 'break' is associated with break-up. It's a Black Eyed Peas pause."

He posted a message on January 13 to tell his Twitter followers the awful news, although he didn't reveal the cause of his brother's untimely death, and wrote: "I am truly devastated by the death of my older brother, Eddie Gomez. God rest his soul."

He accompanied the tweet with a photograph (shown below) and returned to the social networking page this afternoon to thank people for their support and love during this difficult time:

"My family is touched by the outpouring of sympathy & love during this difficult time. May my bro RIP. He'll be missed."

Bandmate Fergie and her husband Josh Duhamel also offered their condolences to Taboo, who replied: "Thanks sis. Much love to you & Josh for reaching out."

British author EL James has taken over the hearts and minds of females across the globe recently with the novel's saucy content.

Speaking to The Sun, she revealed that listening to the Black Eyed Peas actually helps her to write sex scenes.

James said: "I have songs that I write sex to. One of them is the Black Eyed Peas' 'Sexy'. That is a very sexy song."

The 2003 track features lyrics such as: "For you I'm a fanatic, I'm an addict, your sexy antics turn me on like automatic."

The author added that she wanted to make the book's cover not overtly erotic so that it can be kept secret in public. She said:

"I designed the covers because in my early 30s I read a lot of romantic fiction when I was slogging in and out of London on the Tube. But they had these horrible covers with women with clothes falling off. I hated that and I had to bend the covers back. So I designed really discreet covers so that no one would ever know it is salacious."

The 'I Gotta Feeling' stars recently pulled out of the forthcoming Michael Jackson tribute concert and this last minute decision has set tongues wagging, but the Peas' frontman took to his Twitter account last night (October 6) to set the record straight yet again:

"Why do people listen to rumors..."Me and @apl_de created the peas"...so...from the creators mouth...We are not breaking up...stop the rumors."

He also revealed that he has been working in the studio with Jennifer Lopez by sending her a public message on the social networking site, which read:

"@JLo it was great working with you today in the studio before our concert in central park."

The 'Boom Boom Pow' stars were due to break their hiatus to perform at Michael Forever, which will be held in Cardiff on October 8. 

Chris Hunt, executive officer for the event's promotion company, released a statement regarding the sudden change of plans and it reads:

"It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth shattering artists."

The 'Boom Boom Pow' superstars will take the stage at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on October 8 to pay their respects to the late King of Pop and frontman Will.i.Am said the group feels it's their duty to make an appearance:

"The Black Eyed Peas wouldn't miss being at the Millennium Stadium for this gig on 8 October; we all owe Michael such a lot. It seems plain to me that the real star of this tribute to Michael is going to be the music itself. And that's the only way it should be."

"This show is going to be an incredibly personal and moving evening for me. Remember that Michael's music, his great, great songs, have been an inspiration to my whole life and certainly formed the soundtrack to my childhood... One day about four years ago, with The Black Eyed Peas well established, I got a call from him I will never forget. I then had the great privilege of working with him and getting to know him and his beautiful family."

Jackson's brother Marlon also spoke out about the exciting addition to the already star-studded line up and told the press that Michael had a lot of respect for the singer, adding:

"My brother rated Will.i.Am and the original things he does in music very highly. I guess you could say it was a case of mutual respect."

Following a performance of 'All Of The Lights' at the Austin City Limits event, West said to the audience, "rest in peace to the Black Eyed Peas. You're gonna be missed."

This remark promted an onslaught of speculation as the 'Boom Boom Pow' stars recently announced details of a hiatus, but Will.i.Am has since taken to Twitter to reassure fans that the break is only temporary. He wrote:

"Maybe @kanyewest was stating the fact we will take a rest for a little bit...but we the @bep will never die...never...impossible."

The Black Eyed Peas star may be due to go on hiatus, but he revealed that he doesn't sleep a lot and loves to stay focused on his work, "I go out partying to figure out exactly who I'm making music for. You can't just guess."

"Is it true I hardly sleep? Well, I could sleep five times throughout the day in hour increments and get five hours."

"But I'm healthy, I eat right, feel right. If I'm DJing until three, I party until five, sleep around six, wake up at nine. And that's when I start thinking. Real thinking."

He is currently working with Secretary Hillary Clinton to launch a school exchange program, 'One Hundred Thousand Strong', that will send American children to China and you can watch him rapping at a recent BEP concert here:

Tweeting to fans on July 6, the 'Boom Boom Pow' hitmaker explained that although they will take a break it's definitely not the end:

"The @Bep will take a break after the beginning...just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d...but it doesn't mean we stop creating"

The group's final show on their 'The Beginning' tour is scheduled for July 14 in Madrid, Spain and you can watch part of their set from their recent Alton Towers concert here:

1,500 guests were evacuated from the London hotel when a blaze tore through the building, reportedly starting in the kitchen.

Will.i.am is currently in London as his group is headlining the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park this weekend.  He was photographed outside the 28-story building holding a piece of clothing to his mouth to block the heavy smoke.

The game, dubbed ‘The Black Eyed Peas Experience’, will feature not only the group’s songs but also their likenesses and a “revolutionary avatar” system.

The Xbox 360 version will pair up with the Kinect functionality and will support up to four players, who can design the outfits for the participating avatars.

Tracks on the game, which does not yet have a release date, will include 'Let's Get It Started', 'Boom, Boom, Pow' and 'Rock That Body'. A Michael Jackson edition of the game was released last year.

The 'Boom Boom Pow' superstars were supposed to play at the star-studded event in Central Park that was organised to raise money for the Robin Hood Foundation, but unusually high temperatures caused a 2-hour delay to the concert and then a thunderstorm prompted promoters to cancel it entirely. 

Taboo tweeted his and Fergie's disappointment at the unfortunate news:

"Fergie is really sorry it's not happening we feel horrible .. We are devastated and Fergie told me to tweet this she loves u all. I hope that the concert will be rescheduled ASAP , our pea-ple deserve it , my peaple from chase and robinhood deserve this NYC we love u"

Will.i.Am also took to the social networking site to air his feelings on what happened:

"It was supposed to be 80thousand...but we are having a intimate show with 80people back stage"

The 'Boom Boom Pow' stars, including Will.i.Am who is a dear friend of Cole's, told The Sun newspaper that she will shine in America because she "connects well with people". 

"She's beautiful - not only on the outside but on the inside. She has a great personality and I think she connects well with people. She is a great artist and she's part of the family."

Frontwoman and solo artist, Fergie, added enthusiastically:

"She's also very smart and not afraid to speak her mind. People want to hear the truth so she will do well."

The 'Parachute' singer is already adapting to life in the U.S and has begun filming the series, but long-time confidante and collaborator Will.i.Am explained that she will have no trouble settling in:

"It's going great with her. She's got a bright future ahead - no question."

With the help of the Adobe Foundation, the Peapod Foundation is launching the Peapod Adobe Youth Voices academy in lower Manhattan, the fourth such school they’ve opened in America.

"Our passion for music and media was fueled by many generous people on our road to success," says will.i.am. “Expanding the network of Peapod Adobe Youth Voices academies enables us to pay it forward, giving more youth the skills and encouragement they need to realise their dreams."

The school will start taking students from July of this year.

Speaking to Bang Showbiz, the 'Boom Boom Pow' star revealed that her unique style as both an artist and personality is definitely on her side:

"Cheryl Cole is a very inspirational person. We actually got to hang out with her on tour and share all the success."

"She's got her own vibe going on and she's a very caring woman, and we just hope that she can do it."

Black Eyed Peas have also just released their new music video for 'Just Can't Get Enough' and before the visuals begin there is a message that explains "this video was filmed in Japan one week before the earthquake and tsunami". Watch it here:
