Jon Bon Jovi recalls daughter's overdose: "It was my worst moment as a father"

Jon Bon Jovi has opened up on his daughter's heroin overdose.

19-year-old Stephanie suffered an overdose in her college dorm room late last year and was taken to hospital, before coming round.

Speaking to the Mirror, Bon Jovi said that the overdose was his lowest point as a dad to date. The singer admitted:

"It was horrible, a horrible moment. It was my worst moment as a father. The first thing she said, I'm all right but then she said this is what happened. You wake up, you shake it off and put your shoes on and say OK, I am on the way home."

The US star added that he feels the incident has become a "tragic lesson", saying:

"I feel it was a terrible tragic lesson of life but I thank God every day because she is whole. It happened and it has gone. I know personally people whose sons and daughters, where it was a lot, lot worse. That could have been Stephanie."

Bon Jovi has three other children with wife Dorothea Hurley - Jesse James Louis (18), Jacob Hurley (11) and Romeo Jon (9).
