Lin-Manuel Miranda's Puerto Rico song "Almost Like Praying" ft. Camila Cabello is out now

The Puerto Rico benefit song "Almost Like Praying" has been released today, so Camilizers will finally get a chance to hear their favorite artist, Camila Cabello, amongst a host of other big-name Latin artists, singing the emotional lyrics on the track.

It's been two weeks since Hurricane Maria caused mass destruction to the island of Puerto Rico, leaving the victims in its path without electricity, water and at severe risk of disease and famine.

In a desperate plea to help the suffering, and with family of his own affected on the island, the Tony-winning Hamilton playwright, Lin-Manuel Miranda, decided to get involved by bringing together the all-star Latin cast, including: Jennifer Lopez, Gloria EsterfanMarc Anthony and Camila Cabello.

His response about the horrific news regarding the devastation left behind by the Hurricane, coupled with Puerto Ricans feeling a lack of governmental support from the White House at the time, was:

"I, like pretty much anyone with family on the island, I shared with every Puerto Rican those terrible days of silence after the storm hit, when there was just no communication from the island.

"I heard from my family four days after, five days after - some people are still waiting."

Miranda's new benefit track is a love song to Puerto Rico and the proceeds are to benefit the Hispanic Federation's UNIDOS Disaster Relief Fund.

Spotify bosses have agreed to donate cash to the Puerto Rico relief effort every time fans stream the compilation.
