Channel 4 and All 4 commissions A Year to Fall in Love (w/t)

To uncover the challenges of dating in modern Britain, Channel 4 and All 4 have commissioned Blast! Films to follow the everyday lives of 20 people in their pursuit of love, and the struggles that come with it. A Year To Fall In Love (w/t) will begin with a single film (1 x 60’) on Channel 4, followed by a series on All 4 following the contributors as they give themselves a year to fall in love.

Offering an insight into the truth about dating in Britain in 2017, the programme will follow a diverse group of single Brits as they film themselves to give full, uncensored access to their love lives and relationships over time. The series will explore the challenges of finding love at a time when relationships can feel increasingly disposable, with online dating and dependency on apps. We’ll follow the journey of each individual as they navigate their way through these hurdles in search of the universal goal of true love.

Lucy Leveugle, Commissioning Editor for Factual Entertainment at Channel 4 said, “By filming themselves, our 20 very engaging contributors offer an honest, unvarnished look at dating – from social media hook-ups to pub meets, falling in love to break-ups – told from their points of views.”

A Year To Fall In Love (w/t) was commissioned for Channel 4 by Lucy Leveugle, Commissioning Editor and Becky Cadman, Commissioning Executive for Factual Entertainment along with All 4 Commissioning Editor, Todd Florance. The Executive Producer for Blast! Films is Sarah Spencer.
