Charli XCX: 'My mood swings are a nightmare'

'Boom Clap' sensation Charli XCX has opened up about the mood swings she experiences and confessed that her entire demeanour can change in a matter of minutes.

Speaking to zeit.de., the beauty admitted that she struggles with keeping her personality and emotions in check: "I'm a very unstable person; sometimes I feel as though my personality changes every hour."

"It drives me crazy. These mood swings are a nightmare and I'm not really sure what triggers them. Sometimes my changing moods do help me to be creative, though. But most of the time I just want to punch a wall. Either way; my mood depends very much on my surroundings."

The star went onto add that she gets very nervous when she has to meet new people for the first time: "I'm often very unsure and suffer from panic attacks. If I have to meet new people and speak to them, I get very scared. I feel clumsy and embarrassed of myself."

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Charli XCX had been signed by Select Model Management in the Women's Special Bookings division, which is also home to presenter Laura Whitmore, songstress Paloma Faith, Cher Lloyd, and The Saturdays' Vanessa White.
