Charli XCX has offered some details about the sound of her next album.

The singer released her latest effort 'Sucker' in the UK earlier this year.

She told Digital Spy at the weekend that its follow-up looks set to be a poppy affair.

The Brit said: "It's definitely much more electronic, the most electronic sound I've done.

"I'm very inspired by this girl Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. [It's] definitely the most poptastic hyperactive stuff I've made."

The singer was speaking at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend event in Norwich.
