Charli XCX to be reunited with NME award after losing it

Hitmaker Charli XCX won the Best British Solo Artist prize at this year's NME Awards back in February, but never got to take home her trophy, which is a gold-coloured hand giving a middle finger, because she lost it at the afterparty.

Speaking to Britain's OK! magazine recently, the 'Boom Clap' songstress confessed that it's now looking as though she will be reunited with the trophy thanks to social media as it appears to have been located:

"I had a really fun night and I partied so hard that I lost my award at the afterparty I went to. Someone actually just got in touch with me on Twitter and said that they found it, so I think I’m going to be able to get it back."

Last month, Charli XCX opened up about the progress of her forthcoming new record and teased that it will be 'groundbreaking': "It's written and that's great and I think it's the best thing I've done and I think it's going to be really groundbreaking for pop music."
