Cher has worked with US superstar P!nk on her new record.

The veteran released her latest studio album 'Closer to the Truth' in the US on Tuesday (September 24) and P!nk has a considerable influence on it.

She co-wrote the album's 'I Walk Alone' and 'Lie to Me', with the 'Just Give Me a Reason' star providing backing vocals on the former.

Speaking to Billboard about P!nk, Cher said:

"I admire anybody for standing up for what they believe - man or woman, I don't care. Having beliefs - especially if other people don't agree with you - it's difficult in this day and age."

Scissor Sisters' mainman Jake Shears meanwhile also features on the record.
