Cher Lloyd has confirmed plans to release her second album later this year.

The singer, who shot to fame after finishing a finalist on the 2010 series of the UK X Factor, will unleash 'Sorry I'm Late' on May 27.

The 'Want U Back' lady confirmed the news on Twitter today (March 5), saying:

"I’m so excited to announce that my new album 'Sorry I'm Late' will be released 5/27, but that’s not all…#SorryImLate."

The record will follow-up her debut effort 'Sticks & Stones', which was released in 2011 in the UK and 2012 in the US.

The singer has made a sizeable splash in America and regularly gigs in the country.
