Cher Lloyd on her 'bubblegum pop princess' persona: 'I killed her'

Songstress Cher Lloyd has revealed that she no longer wants to be the 'bubblegum pop princess' she was on the path to becoming and has 'killed' off this persona in an attempt to be more edgy.

During an interview with MTV, she explained that she's interested in being real and embracing darker topics, which she explores in her 'Sirens' music video, and wants to be true to who she is:

"I used to do my whole bubblegum pop princess thing, that was fun at the time, but I killed her…she’s dead….It’s not to say that I can’t bring her back , but I don’t fancy it at the minute”.

Earlier this week, meanwhile, Lloyd told Sugarscape that she recently met up with girl group Little Mix and they spoke about potentially working together in the future: "I would (like to collaborate with them) and there might be something in the pipeline. We've talked, that's all that I'm gonna say. We've had a chat and it was really nice to catch up with them and talk about some stuff."
