Cher Lloyd opens up on internet bullying

Cher Lloyd has opened up about the extent of online bullying she endures - and revealed that even her mum has received a death threat.

The 'Swagger Jagger' star has often been on the receiving end of internet jibes ever since appearing on the X Factor.

And she revealed that her mother has also been on the receiving end of internet hate - on her birthday. She told The Sun:

"The worst thing I've suffered was when I received a death threat against my mum. It was her birthday and she was destroyed. She was a total wreck. I was so angry - say what you want about me, but don't upset her."

She also conceded that whilst on the X Factor she was often portrayed an over-confident loud-mouth, outside of showbiz she is actually quite fragile. She added:

"When I was on The X Factor, because of my insecurities, I put on a front and I was this big, hard, cocky wannabe. But I'm nothing like that in real life. I'm quite scared of what people say about me or do to me."
