Cher Lloyd breaks US iTunes top ten

Cher Lloyd has become the latest Brit to enjoy US chart success after breaking into the top ten of the US iTunes.

One Direction and The Wanted have been Billboard trailblazers this year, with both boybands proving a hit in the American charts.

Lloyd has followed Ed Sheeran as being the next British star to achieve success over the pond, with her track 'Want U Back' resting at No.7 on the iTunes chart.

The former X Factor contestant meanwhile has also announced that she will be performing on TV show America's Got Talent later this month. Speaking about her US success, Lloyd said:

"I'm so excited by everything that is going on! I've been touring US radio stations for quite a while now, and it's been fantastic to get out and see so much of America. There's still lots of hard work to do though!"
