Cher Lloyd's quest to break America has seen another boost after she made her debut national US TV performance.

The British singer has been enjoying success stateside this year, with her track 'Want U Back' hitting the top ten of the US iTunes chart.

She has now made her first appearance US TV after performing on Wednesday's (July 25) edition of America's Got Talent.

Introduced by Nick Cannon, Lloyd performed 'Want U Back' with an American diner stage set.

After performing, Lloyd took to Twitter to thank the show's stars and crew, tweeting:

"I'd like to say thank you so much for having me!really enjoyed it!xx"
