Cher Lloyd expresses frustration after being bottled at festival

Cher Lloyd has taken to Twitter to reveal her dismay at being bottled at this weekend's V Festival.

The former X Factor star was performing at the star-studded shindig at Hylands Park, Essex on Sunday (August 19).

It is reported that she suffered from flying bottles and boos whilst performing, with the 19-year-old singer said to have walked off stage before returning and announcing: "It's hard enough being up here, but it's not nice having bottles of p**s chucked at you".

The 'Want U Back' star later tweeted a message of thanks for fans who have voiced their support, adding that a glass bottle was also thrown on stage. She said:

"Thank you so much for all the nice messages, shame that a couple of people had to ruin it, unfortunately a glass bottle got thrown at me on stage.Tomorrow is another day,big love to my brats!!! Xxx."

A spokesman for Lloyd meanwhile said in a statement: "It's a real shame that a few individuals spoil the gig for all the other fans in the audience."
