Cher Lloyd has teased her new single by revealing its message.

The singer is due to unleash the track 'I Wish' to radio on August 31, with the song featuring TI.

Speaking in a new video, the former X Factor star revealed that 'I Wish' is about lacking self-confidence when it comes to liking other people However, the moral is that you "are what you are". Lloyd said:

"The underlying meaning of the song would probably be your average girl liking someone, and then realising that you're not actually happy with yourself - and you don't think they are happy with you either. You feel a bit low, I suppose, and you want all the things that the other girl has."

She added: "My favourite line of the song is: 'I wish I woke up with a butt and a rack'. It's exactly how I feel."

Lloyd meanwhile recently previewed the track with a short clip on Instagram.
