Christina Aguilera slams Simon Cowell's judging technique: 'He was a d**k to contestants'

The Voice USA mentor Christina Aguilera his hit out at the way Simon Cowell treats people when they audition for him on TV talent shows and described him as a "d**k".

She made the remarks at a keynote Q&A session yesterday (October 25), at the Billboard/Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Conference in Los Angeles, and said that when she saw footage of Cowell as an American Idol panelist she was shocked at how offensive he was to contestants:

"I've not actually seen a full episode of any of the other music shows. I saw the commercials early on of American Idol of Simon being a dick. I was like, 'Man, that's not what it's about!' I didn't want to treat people like that. I wanted to do The Voice to show that we can be positive. We don't have to knock people down."

She also spoke about the rising trend of blogging and explained that it encourages cyber bullying as the internet enables everyone to have a voice and some users choose to be abusive because they can hide behind a computer screen:

"Now everyone is a critic. I don't read blogs. It's just God-knows-who in buttf**k wherever writing hate s**t. You can't take it seriously. I'm sure you've all been hated on at some point by buttf**k people."
