Christina Aguilera praises the support of the LGBT community

Vocal powerhouse Christina Aguilera has confessed that the support she has received from the LGBT community over the years has given her the strength to pursue and continue her career.

Speaking to The Advocate in an interview that was posted today (November 28), the 'Your Body' hitmaker explained that it's always been a group of people she can rely on for insight and inspiration and wants to thank her gay fans for being there unconditionally:

"I cannot be more thankful for the support over the years from the community. Even when I felt I couldn’t stand, they held me up and supported me. I think we can each relate to each other and I am forever indebted."

Aguilera added that her new album 'Lotus' has a track on it that's like an anthem for her LGBT followers, named 'Army of Me', and she wanted to dedicate it to them:

"I actually feel that way, that I have an Army of Me — of people that are maybe misunderstood or don’t fit into the norm but deserve a voice and I wanted this song to be that for them."
