Christina Aguilera records song for The Hunger Games film

Christina Aguilera has contributed a track to the upcoming Hunger Games film.

The powerful singer confirmed on Twitter that she has recorded the song 'We Remain' for the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The Voice coach said: "Love the underlying message of @TheHungerGames. "We Remain" is special new song, its message to my fans & how I connect w/ the movie, alike."

Coldplay and The National are two acts already confirmed to appear on the movie's soundtrack.

Catching Fire meanwhile is due to be released in November 22 and it stars the likes of Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz and Jennifer Lawrence.

It is the second part of the Hunger Games sci-fi adventure trilogy, which was originally conceived in a series of books by author Suzanne Collins.
