Australian heartthrob Cody Simpson has confirmed a 6-date UK tour that will kick off on June 30 at London's Indigo at the O2. 

Following the first date, he will perform at the Norwich Waterfront on July 1, Edinburgh's Queens Hall on July 2, Dublin's Bord Gais Energy Theatre on July 4, Manchester's Academy 2 on July 5, and the Birmingham Library a day later on July 6. 

He spoke about his excitement in an official statement, which reads: "I’m so excited to be coming back to the UK this summer."

Simpson continued: "I had an amazing time last tour. I can’t wait to see some new cities, play some new venues and meet some new fans this time – I have new music that I can’t wait to perform for you.”

Tickets for Simpson's tour will go on sale at 9am on Friday, May 9.

The star recently joked that he has to warn girls he dates that he's a songwriter so they're not upset or shocked if they later discover he has written tracks about their relationships: "I'm not ashamed of writing romantic songs. When I meet a girl, I'm like, 'I'm going to write music about you. If you're not up for that, please leave now.'"
