Cody Simpson working on a "cool special project" with Justin Bieber

After revealing earlier this month that he’s been in the studio with Justin Bieber, Cody Simpson has now revealed further details about his work with the Canadian star.

Cody Simpson previously announced he was working with the 'Believe' singer via a tweet saying:

"Chill studio session last night with @justinbieber. Wrote a beautiful guitar track. Able to relate when it comes to love & women. Good sht!"

Cody has now described his work with 20-year-old Bieber as a “cool special project” during an interview with ET Online.

Speaking about how their collaborative effort came about Simpson said: “He just called me up and he's been seeing my guitar skills recently.”

The Australian teen is confident that he and Justin will be working together in future on more material as he stated: “We wrote a beautiful song and it's definitely going to lead to more stuff.”

Outside of the studio the ‘Surboard’ singer feels he and Bieber are forming a friendship despite their differing lifestyles.

17-year-old Simpson explained: “We're both heading in different directions as we grow up… He's becoming a cool musical mate of mine.”

Cody Simpson will be embarking on a UK tour from June 30.
