Aussie heartthrob Cody Simpson recently split from girlfriend Gigi Hadid and is now rumoured to be romantically involved with Selena Gomez, but has opened up about these tabloid reports in a new interview. 

Speaking to Australia's 'Today' show, the 'Flower' sensation explained that just because he was pictured getting ice cream with Gomez (shown left) it doesn't mean that they're an item and instead he is just happy to be "good mates" with everyone at the moment:

"It's all sweet, like I try to be friends with everyone. I'm always good mates with everyone and stay on the good side of people. I never let any bad blood between anyone. I was in a highly publicised relationship for a while and now it's kind of nice to be able to just chill and like work on my music."

He recently told Teen Vogue that he was "immediately infatuated" with Gigi Hadid and asked a friend to introduce him: "My friend and I drove past a Guess store, and I was immediately infatuated by this chick. She looked beautiful. My friend kind of knew her, and he said, 'Yeah, do you want me to introduce you?' I did! It was cool because for a while we just kind of kept it on the down-low while she was still trying to get started. Now she's a supermodel."
