WHO:

With summer and the hope of sunshine fast approaching, Converse sees no better way to get the party started than hosting infamous Spanish dance/indie legends Delorean at 100 Club, along with support from Extraperlo, Please Wait and Univers.

In the year 2000 an angst-fueled punk band were born in a small Basque coastal town. Their name was Delorean. They devoted themselves to the pursuit of fine guitar music tinged with their love for all things electronic. In 2007 they moved to Barcelona, focusing their efforts on computer-led writing and production. After remixing the likes of the XX, Cold Cave and Franz Ferdinand, Delorean have cemented their place as one of the most exciting dance acts around.

Extraperlo were formed in 2009 and for the last three years they've been flat out with a busy touring schedule while also managing to release two albums. Their latest release “Delírio Es-pecífico” came out last year to critical success. Fusing pop hooks, indie catchiness and dance rhythms Extraperlo sound like no other.

Since starting out as a group of bored teenagers trying to find something to do during the cold winter months, Please Wait have come a long way. Fresh from winning a music competition in their local city and downsizing from a four to a three piece they have found their voice and it is loud! If you like ‘90s post-rock/hardcore, then Please Wait is the band for you.

Univers may have been around for less than a year, but what a year it's been. Having recorded their first record and playing a host of shows in Catalonia as well as the prestigious Primavera Festival, they bring a fun and energetic shoegaze sound laced with an indie feel.

WHAT:

The Converse and 100 Club curated music series kicked off in June of 2011 when Graham Coxon headlined and played the first packed out show. Since then the likes of Gorillaz Sound System, The Rapture, The Vaccines, Chairlift, Ghostpoet, Azari & III, Wild Belle, Toddla T, The Cribs, Ghostface Killah, Doom, Gallows and many more have taken to the stage. Cementing the success of this unique partnership, Converse and 100 Club continue to deliver an exciting line-up for fans, showcasing today’s best and freshest emerging artists. The partnership also gives 100 Club the opportunity to introduce a new generation to its renowned gigs, by once again bringing the best music to its legendary stage. 100 Club will continue to oversee the schedule of performances as it has for over 65 years, in addition to presenting this new free series alongside Converse.
