Demi Lovato has some 'surprises' planned for her Neon Lights tour

American beauty Demi Lovato is due to head out on her Neon Lights tour across the USA in February and has teased her fans by admitting she has some exciting surprises planned.

The north American jaunt will kick off in Vancouver on February 9 and she took to her official Twitter page this morning (January 7) to tell her followers that they can expect to have a great time at the shows and also at the 'soundcheck parties' that will be taking place:

"Countdown to #TheNeonLightsTour!!!"

"I have some surprises for you at soundcheck parties!! Guess what song I will be singing at soundcheck????"

When talking about her expectations of the tour last autumn, the 'Let It Go' songstress explained that the dates will be about female empowerment and will showcase her talent as a singer and performer: "I want it to be a big party, but I don't want to exclude any demographics by making it all pop hits."

"I'm in the process of figuring it out, and because I play instruments, it comes easier than if I didn't. If I do it right, I'll get in all the hits and the songs that I'm most proud of that represent my style - 'Heart Attack' and 'In Case', which is just me and a piano. That's the message I want people to hear, that there's more than catchy songs released as singles. The album [tracks] should get more attention."
