Demi Lovato thanks fans for emphatic start to 2014

Demi Lovato has shown her appreciation of her fans after she reflected on her impressive start to 2014.

The singer, who is currently taking some time off before going on her Neon Lights tour next month, won two gongs at the recent People's Choice Awards.

And the Frozen soundtrack song 'Let It Go', which she recorded a different version of, has been nominated for the Best Original Song Oscar.

This prompted Lovato to gush on Twitter about her fans and her emphatic start to the year, which has also seen chart success. She said:

"WOW.. AMAZING DAY!! Hearing the news about Oscar nod for a song I got 2 be apart of AND Neon Lights went #1 on Billboard club charts!! #2014."

The former X Factor USA judge added: "Mid January 2014 so far... 2 People's choice and #1 on Billboard club charts.. ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!!! I LOVE YALL!!!!! #LOVATICSTAKEOVER2014."

Lovato's upcoming North American live jaunt meanwhile will kick off in Vancouver on February 9 before concluding in Indianapolis on March 30.
