Demi Lovato has reached out to country singers on Twitter by offering them a song.

The singer is currently taking time off from her busy schedule at the moment by going on holiday.

The former X Factor USA judge tweeted that she has been slipping into country mode when writing music on her lonesome.

She said: "Dear country artists, want a song?"

Lovato continued: "For some reason lately when I'm by myself I end up writing country music.. Guess it's those southern roots. Who wants it?!"

The 'Neon Lights' star meanwhile also uploaded photos of herself at Mexico's Chichen Itza, saying: "Such an incredible day at the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza.. #vacation."

Lovato is due to tour North America soon, with her Neon Lights jaunt kicking off in Vancouver on February 9 before concluding in Indianapolis on March 30.
