Demi Lovato on Joe Jonas's revealing interview: 'I told him that I still love him, but not to be so stupid'

'Skyscraper' beauty Demi Lovato has opened up about ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas's December 2013 essay for New York magazine, in which he claimed to have smoked marijuana with her and Miley Cyrus.

Jonas's damning words were published before Christmas and in the article, he explained that he was there when things got rough. Speaking to Giuliana Rancic (pictured above left with the former Disney star) recently, Lovato explained that reading about herself like that came as a shock:

"That was a key element in realising I had to change. That change involved self-acceptance and being able to share her experiences truthfully. I don't place any of the blame on anybody else except for really myself for not being so honest."

"He had warned me a couple of days before. I don't even remember [smoking] because clearly, I was chillin'. I called him and I was like, ‘Relax. We're good. Just don't be so stupid next time. I love you, it's all good. We're always going to be friends'."
