Superstar Demi Lovato has opened up about her brand new 'Neon Lights' tour, which she's currently on in the USA, and revealed that it's very reflective of her own personality.

Speaking in a new VEVO Tour video, she explains: "I've been preparing for the tour for a month now. This tour represents a new me, I think I'm figuring out exactly who I am and it really represents me. [...] You get out on stage and see so many lights and so many people... it's exciting."

Referring to the more hands-on approach she takes this time around, Lovato added that she uses several instruments during each concert to show off her musical talent: "I actually play the drums, piano and guitar during the show. I definitely put a lot of new twists on some of my songs."

Lovato added: "The theme for this tour is definitely a girl-empowerment vibe. Where it's all just about tonnes of girls getting up there, showing what we can do - being fierce, strong women on stage and really giving the audience something to look up to. Hopefully I can show people that it's really important to have confidence when you put yourself out there."
