Demi Lovato on treatment recovery: 'There are easy days and there are really hard days'

'Neon Lights' beauty Demi Lovato has revealed that her recovery from rehabilitation has been tough, but she feels stronger and is taking it just one day at a time.

Speaking to the August issue of Seventeen magazine, she explained that her treatment for self-harm and an eating disorder was so worthwhile although it's very difficult:

"Since I went to treatment, there have been days when it's felt really easy, and I've felt great about where I am. But then I have moments when it's not. That's life. You can't just take your mind and your body into the shop and get it fixed. It doesn't come out repaired. It's not like a car. It takes time - pace yourself. Every day is a new opportunity to change your life and be who you want to be."

Earlier this month, Lovato told Ryan Seacrest that it's important for her to appreciate the little things as much as the big milestones in her career: "If you don’t, you’re wasting a perfect opportunity to sit back and enjoy everything you’ve been working on, for me, 15 years of my life."
