Demi Lovato says she has a girl crush on Amber Heard.

The singer told E! News that the actress, who is engaged to Johnny Depp, is right up her street when it comes to beautiful females.

The US star said: "I love Amber Heard. She's so gorgeous, it's ridiculous."

Speaking meanwhile about the inspiration she receives from her late grandfather, who came out as gay in the 60s, Lovato said:

"It makes so much sense as to why I feel so connected to standing up for what I believe in.

"When I heard the word 'trailblazer,' I automatically thought of my grandfather and him coming out in the '60s. It's very powerful. I couldn't be more proud of him."

The singer paid tribute to her grandfather at Logo TV's Trailblazers ceremony earlier this week.
