Demi Lovato hits 1 billion views on VEVO

'Neon Lights' beauty Demi Lovato has revealed that her VEVO channel has now hit a landmark 1 billion views.

She shared a tweet about the incredible news via her official Twitter page late last night (July 8) and thanked her fans for being so supportive: "Oh my God ONE BILLION views on @Vevo!!!!!!! #LovaticsTakeover2014."

The songstress recently spoke out about her support of the LGBT community and told the audience at the Logo TV Trailblazers event that her own grandfather was gay and was strong enough to come out in the sixties:

"I've never spoken about this before, but my grandfather was a trailblazer himself. He was brave enough to come out in the 1960s, and I feel that a lot of my spirit has come from him. He passed away a few years later and I only wish he could have been able to see all the progress that has been made. It's such an honor to be welcomed and embraced by the LGBT community, so thank you very much."
