Demi Lovato: 'I'd like a future where people value self-acceptance more'

Superstar Demi Lovato has opened up about Photoshop and revealed that while magazines use it to alter pictures of her, she wishes it wasn't such a prevalent thing.

During an interview with The Kit, the songstress explained that she would love to see this generation feeling more confident and moving away from digital enhancements: "It's not something I wish people would do, but for the celebrities that do it, I don't blame them.

"And I don't blame people for getting plastic surgery either if they are in the public eye. It's difficult to be a celebrity and to have that many more people hating on your pictures." The 'Nightingale' superstar added: "I would like to see a future where people are able to accept themselves for who they are and what they have. But listen, I do photo shoots and they get Photoshopped, so I can't hate on it."

Lovato, meanwhile, recently told Glitter magazine that she loves to keep a journal as a way of ordering her thoughts: "Keeping a journal has always been beneficial for me and helped me keep a positive outlook in my life. In my opinion, it’s one of the best ways to reflect."
