Demi Lovato: 'This has been the most painful week of my life'

Songstress Demi Lovato has thanked her fans for the amazing support and love following the tragic death of her beloved dog, Buddy.

The beauty's pet was killed in a "tragic accident" over the weekend that was revealed to be a mauling at the hands of a coyote, and Lovato has now taken to her Instagram page to share an adorable montage of photos of Buddy and shared the following words:

"We can't thank you all enough. This has been the most painful week of my life but because Wilmer and I had so much love and support, I've been able to stay strong and will continue to get through this difficult time. The out pour of love and support has been unbelievable and it means the world to us. Love you all tons and tons..."

Lovato revealed the sad news at the beginning of this week and told her followers on Twitter: "He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we are staying strong."
