Demi Lovato 'freaked' and yelled at her sister's cyberbullies

Songstress Demi Lovato went after the cyberbullies who targeted her younger sister, Madison De La Garza.

Earlier this summer, De La Garza told Latina magazine that she was bullied online at just 6-years-old: "Imagine being called 'fat,' 'ugly,' or even 'slut' by someone you've never even met. Now imagine reading those words at only six years old..."

Now, De La Garza has revealed to Seventeen magazine that her older sister Lovato took it upon herself to personally write messages to the people who had sent cruel comments to her because she is so protective:

"Last year I got a ton of negative comments after I posted a Vine on Twitter where I was cooking with Demi. People made fun of me, saying I had a hunchback. Demi freaked and direct-messaged people to yell at them, and she tweeted at her followers to stand up for me."

She went onto add that while she wishes the 'Cool For The Summer' sensation wouldn't get involved in things like that, she's grateful that someone stood up for her: "Sometimes I wish she wouldn't give people attention - I've learned not to - but when people hate on me, she can't really hold back. She's strong and she's a free spirit, and that's what I love about her."
