Demi Lovato has recorded a song for the upcoming Angry Birds Movie.

The singer took to Twitter on Monday (April 4) to confirm the news.

The US star wrote: "Excited to announce I’m singing a song for #AngryBirdsMovie!

Can’t wait for u to hear it and see the movie in May."

It was recently confirmed that British singer Charli XCX is voicing a bird called Willow in the flick.

Country man Blake Shelton is also set to voice a character.

Actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, and Game of Thrones man Peter Dinklage are on board too.

The film, based on the popular game app, will be released in the UK from May 13.
