Demi Lovato rallies against anti-LGBT law at Billboard awards

Demi Lovato showed her anger towards a new anti-LGBT bill recently passed in North Carolina at this year's Billboard Music Awards.

The singer recently cancelled shows in the state over the HB2 'Bathroom Bill', forces transgender people to use gender-specific restrooms.

The US star performed at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 22) and she wore a gender-inclusive bathroom symbol on her top.

One half was the male symbol, and the other half was a female one.

LGBT rights group GLAAD later confirmed that the garment would go on sale on Lovato's upcoming Future Now tour.

CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said: "Demi Lovato continues to be a fearless ally for LGBT equality and acceptance.

"By wearing her support for the transgender community, Lovato is raising critical visibility for vulnerable LGBT North Carolinians and sending an invaluable message of support to transgender people everywhere."
