Although X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato has been romantically linked to One Direction's Niall Horan, neither of them have confirmed the rumours but Lovato has now described him as "awesome".

When asked about her relationship with the 'One Thing' heartthrob by radio station B104, Lovato joked "I don't even know who One Direction is."

"I'm kidding. Niall is a friend of mine. I do know who he is. We're just friends and he's awesome. He's cool."

Earlier this month, Horan revealed that he's been in contact with the 'Skyscraper' beauty and said: "She's really nice. Um, I don't know what's going to happen."

Horan also met up with Lovato's sisters during a trip to the Santa Monica pier and they tweeted publicly about how great it was to meet him.
