Songstress and X Factor judge Demi Lovato has slammed the narcissistic nature of gossip magazines after reading a story about Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton.

The 'Skyscraper' beauty, who has openly discussed her own body image issues when talking about her battle with bipolar disorder, took to Twitter earlier today (September 11) and expressed her disgust at that the fact that a photo of Middleton wearing a dress with an expanding waistline was enough to spark pregnancy rumours:

"So apparently Kate Middleton (William?) is pregnant because of THIS picture... Are you KIDDING ME?!! And people wonder why girls/guys have body image issues.. Whether she is or not, she still has a beautiful body. Shame on you Star magazine."

Meanwhile, Lovato recently topped America's pop chart with her single 'Give Your Heart A Break' and told MTV News that she's overwhelmed with the popularity of the track: "The reception for my single is so amazing."

"It's been going up the charts for a while now and right now I actually have my first No.1 single, so that's really exciting for me. It means so much to me."
