Demi Lovato has backed Lady Gaga and Katy Perry to join the X Factor USA judging panel.

The line-up for the TV talent show is currently without two judges after L.A. Reid and Britney Spears left after the 2012 series.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, judge Lovato reckons the 'Born This Way' singer and Perry would be good candidates to replace the outgoing pundits. She said:

"I would love for either Lady Gaga or Katy Perry [to sign up]."

When asked if she knew about the recruitment process, the 'Heart Attack' star replied:

"Don't even ask because I have no idea who is in the running. I'm just glad that I'm not going to be the rookie anymore."

Lovato meanwhile recently confirmed that her new album 'DEMI' would be released on May 14.
