Demi Lovato on Joe Jonas's 'tell-all' interview: 'I thought it was stupid'

Earlier this month, singer Joe Jonas gave a very frank interview to New York Magazine about his brief romance with troubled superstar Demi Lovato and described her as a past drug abuser along with being in desperate need for help.

Lovato has now given her opinion on his brutally honest comments and explained that while it was tough to read, she thinks it's fair that he could be open about what happened while they were together:

"My first reaction was, 'Well that was stupid.' But we are always going to be in each other's lives. I was with Nick [Jonas] today and they are family. I've known them since I was 14, 15 and I have a lot of love for them."

Despite her initial reservations about what he revealed in the interview, Lovato added that she thinks it was important for him to give his side of the story:

"He never shared his side of the story and what he had to go through when we were friends or whatever. I was like, 'Choose your words more carefully next time, but whatever, you're fine!'"
