Drake beats the Beatles' US chart milestone

Drake has bypassed The Beatles on the list of artists with the most entries on the US singles chart's top 100.

The Canadian recently achieved his 72nd top 100 track when his remix of iLoveMakkonen's 'Tuesday' hit No.90 on the chart.

This means that Drake has now achieved more top 100 singles in the US than the Beatles.

He is now joint eighth with Aretha Franklin on the list.

The cast of Glee are currently No.1 on the list after bagging a staggering 207 top 100 songs.

Drake meanwhile was forced into cancelling headline slots at this year's Wireless Festival due to illness. He said at the time:

"To my beloved fans, it truly breaks my heart that I won't be able to perform as planned at Wireless and Roskilde this weekend. I got sick a few days ago and although I am on my way to bouncing back, my doctors have made it clear that I am not physically fit to fly or deliver the performance my fans expect and deserve from me. I will be focused on resting for a quick recovery. I have the best fans in the world and I can't wait to come back to make more incredible memories together."
