Drake to release new album via Apple Music

Drake has revealed plans to release his next album through Apple's new Music service.

On Monday (June 8) the technology giant confirmed plans to enter the music streaming market.

People will be able to stream music, as well as listen to a 24/7 live global radio station called Beats One.

There will also be a Connect platform, allowing artists to interact more closely with their fans through exclusive content.

Speaking at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, Drake confirmed that he will release his next album through Connect.

He said: "Focus on your body of work. Instead of having to post your stuff on these different and sometimes confusing places, it's all in one place: Connect."

A release date for the record is not yet known.
