Drake has expressed his desire to do more acting.

The Canadian broke into showbiz by appearing in teen drama Degrassi in the early 2000s before turning to rap.

Since then his focus has been on music - but he told W maagzine about his wish to act more.

Drake said: "Eventually, they realised I was juggling two professions and told me I had to choose. I chose this life.

"I can’t wait to get back into acting. No one ever asks me to do movies, and, although music is my focal point now, I’d love to do a film."

Actor Jamie Foxx meanwhile said in 2014 that he thinks Drake can go a "long way" in movies.

He said: "When he did Saturday Night Live, I was like, 'oh yeah, you really showing 'em'. I got movie ideas for him. I think he will go a long way.

"Drake is my little brother, man. When he first came out, I took him to [The Tonight Show With] Conan O'Brien and I said, 'Listen, you may not know who this is, but in a couple of years, the whole world will know his name'."
