Drake promises to build studio at a school

Canadian rap superstar Drake has offered to help an underprivileged school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by pledging to build a recording studio for students there.

He decided to reach out to local education officials involved in the Strawberry Mansion High School after watching a segment by news anchor Diane Sawyer, in which the institute was named one of the most dangerous in America, and was so moved by the story that he wanted to help.

Speaking about it, the hitmaker explained that he was compelled to do his part after watching that news feature:

"I caught this piece that Diane did and by the end of it I was so heavily affected by it, I started questioning major aspects of my life."

He then accompanied Sawyer to the high school and broke the exciting news to the students in person, telling them: "In the next few months I'm building a recording studio inside your school. This about you. This about your principal. This about your future. I love you. I care about you. I want to see you succeed."
