Ed Sheeran confirms Taylor Swift won't feature on new album

Ed Sheeran has revealed that long-time collaborator Taylor Swift won't feature on his next album.

The pair previously recorded the track 'Everything Has Changed' for Swift's 2012 record 'Red' and they have toured North America.

The British singer-songwriter is due to release his second album before October but he told Capital FM that Swift won't feature on it.

Sheeran said: "I didn't work with Taylor [Swift] on the album purely for the fact that we've done that already. We've already done a song and I don't know if it would surprise anyone if that happened. We're always going to perform together, we're always going to write together [and] we're always going to hang out. I just felt I wanted to make a record that would surprise people and keep them intrigued."

The 'A Team' hitmaker concluded: "I've already done a song with Taylor within the last two years so I don't know if anyone would be too shocked by that."

Sheeran meanwhile will promote his upcoming album with a UK and Ireland arena tour in October.
