Ed Sheeran rescues kitten

'Lego House' hitmaker Ed Sheeran has revealed that he recently adopted a young kitten after learning that it was going to be put down.

The singer-songwriter, who is a big fan of cats, took to his official Twitter page last night (January 23) and told his followers that he simply had to bring the feline home with him and has decided to name him Graham:

"So basically this one month old kitten was gonna get put down so I adopted him and called him Graham. Just bought Graham a bed and snacks."

The star then added that the kitten is very "shy" and needs a lot of love and attention: "Graham needs a lot of TLC, have a feeling his previous owners weren't that nice, he's shy too."

Following Graham's introduction to the world via the social networking site, Sheeran then encouraged his own fans to follow an account that was made under the cat's name. The page now has in excess of 36,000 followers and boasts a series of amusing tweets written from the animal's point of view.
