Ed Sheeran on how he met Usher: 'We sat next to each other and he downloaded one of my songs'

British hitmaker Ed Sheeran has confessed that meeting Usher came completely at random after they sat next to each other, and they built a friendship from there.

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM, the superstar admitted that he sat next to the 'Burn' sensation by chance at a Passover dinner and was shocked when he revealed that he had downloaded a song of his:

"I was at a Passover seder and it’s a very, very small event, and I sat next to Usher and he’s like, ‘Yo man,’ and he shows me his phone and he’s downloaded my song and I’m like, ‘Ah, cheers, Usher!’ And he’s like, ‘Yo man, I’m getting in the studio later. You wanna come?’ I was like, ‘Yeah!’”

He then worked on a track with Usher and confessed to BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe that Skrillex then got involved with the project: "[Usher was] like, 'Yeah, we are just getting started'. And I went down and we made this awesome song. I had this guitar idea on my phone it was literally just a voice note and I emailed it to Skrillex then he took it in sampled it and made a beat out of it, and then me and Usher just went back and forth on melody ideas and lyric ideas."
