Ed Sheeran has lavished praise on Passenger's new album.

The singer-songwriter unleashed his new effort 'Whispers' today (June 9) in the UK.

Sheeran has previously toured with the musician and he took to Twitter to spread the word of the album, calling it "brilliant".

He said: "Passengers new album whispers is out worldwide today. Basically go buy it coz it's brilliant and you need to have it in your life (sic)."

The 'A Team' man meanwhile is currently celebrating after landing his first No.1 single on Sunday (June 8).

Sheeran's tune 'Sing' trumped its rivals and in turn created even more excitement ahead of the singer's new album 'x', which will be released on June 23.
