Ed Sheeran: 'I'm making stories that I can tell in 20 years'

'Lego House' hitmaker Ed Sheeran has confessed that he enjoys going out in Hollywood while he's in California because something always ends up happening that will make a good story to tell when he's much older.

Speaking to E! News recently, the singer explained that he loves the idea of being old and having great memories to recall and talk about: "In Hollywood I just kind of like to be open and go out and enjoy myself, and make stories. You know, make stories that I can tell in 20 years and be like, 'That happened one time, that was pretty fun."

The superstar went onto add that he doesn't just hang out with other celebrities and does still keep in touch with friends he went to school with: "I do have school friends as well... I sound like such an industry wh**e when you say it like that!"

He also recently spoke to MTV News about music mogul Simon Cowell and explained that he imagined him to be a scary character, but was pleasantly surprised by his demeanour and knowledge:

"He's such a nice guy though, man. I expected him to be this towering presence of fear, but he was really friendly. What I like about him is that he is very business savvy. He's straight to the point. There's no beating around the bush. I don't like it when people beat around the bush."
