Ed Sheeran's 'x' remains UK's No. 1 album for third consecutive week

Ed Sheeran’s album ‘x’ is a non-mover at the top the UK album chart for a third week in a row.

‘x’ – pronounced “multiply” – is also still the biggest-selling album of the year so far with 327,000 copies sold since its June release date.

Ed Sheeran managed to keep his spot at No. 1 ahead of The Manic Street Preachers with their latest album ‘Futurology’ debuting just behind at No. 2.

The rest of this week’s top five is made up by Dolly Parton up one to No. 3 with ‘Blue Smoke’, ‘In The Lonely Hour’ by Sam Smith up one to No. 4 and George Ezra’s ‘Wanted On Voyage’ down two to No. 5.

Other new entries within the top 20 this week come from Example at No. 8 with ‘Live Life Living’, Sia’s ‘1000 Forms Of Fear’ at No. 11, and ‘Homecoming’ by Nicola Benedetti at No. 19.

New entries to rest of the top 40 are completed by Lewis Watson’s ‘The Morning’ at No. 28, Milky Chance’s ‘Sadnecessary’ at No. 36 and Crosby Stills Nash & Young’s live album ‘CSNY 1974’ at No. 37.
